Short-Term, Huge Impact! 

Time Commitment: approx. 2 - 10 hours per project

 

The HSA needs help with many projects that benefit our students! Volunteers are essential to the success of our school. Donating your time helps create the best possible learning environment for our children, and can be fun - grab some current friends to join you, and make new friends too!

 

WORKING GROUPS

When you sign up for a working group, you will be invited to meetings periodically throughout the year and asked to help with various events or projects. You can pick and choose what you are able to do and when. Time commitment varies from approx. 2 - 10 hours per project. More details can be found here.

  • 5K: The 5K is our biggest event, usually held in early June. The committee is formed in January and meets approx. 2 times / month.
  • Beautification: This new committee will be responsible for scheduling and volunteering for pick up days to keep the PAS grounds litter-free and safe year round.
  • Book Fair: The Book Fair is held once or twice a year, usually around report card conferences.
  • Events: We hold events throughout the year such as the Ice Cream Social, Fall Festival, Sadie Alexander Birthday Party, Pancake Breakfast, Ice Skating Party, and Spring Musical and always need help. We hope to offer more activities for middle school students too.
  • FinanceAssist the Treasurer with deposits, counting money, and tracking expenses.
  • Fundraising: Help brainstorm and execute fundraising appeals and activities.
  • Nominating: This committee is formed in January and is active through elections in May with the goal of recruiting and informing potential HSA board members.
  • Teacher Appreciation: Help make sure our teachers and staff feel supported and appreciated all year long; not just during May's teacher & staff appreciation week.
