Come to the Winter Concert

Wednesday, December 11: 6:30 PM (new time!)

Doors open at 6:00 PM

Location: Gym, enter from the Blacktop

Penn Alexander's much-loved annual winter concert will feature string, wind, and vocal students performing a range of repertoire.

Volunteers are needed to help hand out programs, hold doors, sell and take tickets, usher, etc. All volunteers receive 2 free tickets!

Tickets are $5 for adults and free for children/students, but tickets are required for all. The deadline for advance purchase is Friday, December 6, and then tickets will be $10 at the door, if available.

All students must be accompanied by an adult.

HSA Meeting and Parent Panel Discussion "Bringing the Calm: Supporting your Child with Big Worries and Stress" featuring Beth Clauss, Tawanna Jones, and Kathryn Snyder

Thursday, November 7, 6:00-7:30 PM

Location: Cafeteria, enter from the blacktop

Schedule: 6:00-6:15 PM: arrival and dinner

6:15-6:30 PM: dinner and HSA meeting

6:30-7:30 PM: panel discussion

All are welcome to attend a panel discussion about coping with anxiety sponsored by the HSA. Topics will include:

General information about big worries and stress in academic and social settings
How big worries and stress might present in children
When to reach out for support and resources for parents
Coping skills to encourage your child to use to manage anxiety
Techniques you can use to help calm your child (and yourself!)

Dinner and childcare will be provided.

School Advisory Council

School Advisory Council Meeting

Monday, November 18 at 3:45 PM

Location: PAS Library; use Locust St. entrance after 3:45 PM

School Advisory Council (SAC) meets once a month and is a forum for discussion and collaboration with the PAS administration on school-based decision making with a focus on student achievement, school improvement, effective teaching, and parent and community engagement, communication, and support. Meetings are held on the third Monday of the month from 3:45-4:45pm and are open to everyone in the school community.
