Message from the Principal

We are sending en early edition of the ePony as TODAY is the last day to purchase Frozen JR. T-shirts ($20) and program shout-outs ($5) for cast & crew. Purchase HERE.


TOMORROW, March 31 is the deadline for early bird 5K/1Mile Fun Run pricing. Register to run HERE.  Several classes have already earned a donut party for having at least 50% of the class signed up.  Other classes are so close that we wanted to give families another reminder about the pricing change. 


This week, on Wednesday, April 2, 6-7:30 PM, join us for the HSA Meeting & Speaker Series Panel Event on neurodiversity for families with neurodiverse and neurotypical children. RSVP HERE. Dinner and childcare will be provided.

The annual Philly School Experience Survey for families is now open.  Click HERE to complete the survey. We are asking families to complete the survey to better understand your school experience this year and how we can improve it.  Class competitions are back for participation!  Any class with 80% family survey completion will earn a free recess. Any class that gets 100% family response will earn free recess and water ice party.

Grades 3-8 will be taking the state exams, PSSA, at the dates below. The exam is moving to be computer-based only, similar to the Star assessments and others that students regularly take.  Test dates:  

  • April 22-24 ELA PSSA
  • April 29-30 Mathematics PSSA
  • May 1-2 Science for 5th-8th grade only
  • May 5-8 Make Ups

Teacher Appreciation Co-Chair Needed

Teacher and Staff Appreciation week is coming up the first week of May. We need someone who can co-chair this group to help set up a meeting, execute Principal Overton's plan, coordinate tasks with committee members, make decisions, etc. Fill out the Volunteer Interest Form if interested in learning more.

School Gear Manager Needed

The HSA is looking for someone to manage school gear. T-shirts and school branded merchandise get ordered a few times a year, starting over the summer. The manager also manages inventory and determines when to sell gear throughout the school year. Fill out the Volunteer Interest Form if interested in learning more.
